I've been installing Adobe After Effects 2017 for a while now and keep getting that error message: The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled severally, but it keeps popping up. Other versions have installed successfully even after the issues i've been having with the 2017 version. The problem is the other versions don't suit the kind of work i do, and i need something more organic to my edit style.

Unfortunately this is a matter for Adobe support.

It is their responsibility to make everything available, and if their setup isn't doing that then it is something for them to fix.
