Hey Ken, are you empty handed? Didn't you bring a housewarming gift?

I thought about it, but I didn't have time to buy one.

I biught them a bottle of wine, if you want we can say the wine is from both of us.

That would be great! I wouldn't want to be rude and go to the party without a gift.
