I am using  SQL server management studio 2017

Would like to import data from excel to the table using <g class="gr_ gr_233 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="233" id="233">SQL</g> import export wizard. Error reported is  Microsoft ACE OLEDB.16.0 provider is not registered on the local machine.

I installed Microsoft Access database engine 2016 64 bit but still getting the same error.

My company supports 64 bit, also <g class="gr_ gr_216 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="216" id="216">sql</g> server 2017does<g class="gr_ gr_246 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="246" id="246">n’t</g> come with 64-bit SQL wizard <g class="gr_ gr_318 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="318" id="318">import export</g>.

Tried installing 32 and 64 bit ACE but didn't work. 

I would like Microsoft support to resolve this.

According to your description, you want to import data from excel to SQL Server via SQL Server import and export wizard. You have installed the Microsoft Access database engine 2016 but you still get the error.

 

Based on my test, I will get the same error when I choose the "Microsoft Excel 2016" as the Excel version.

 

 

However, I can import the data successfully when I choose the "Microsoft Excel 2007-2010" as the Excel version. Could you please try to select the "Microsoft Excel 2007-2010" in the list-down box.
