Hi Professionals,

In our environment,we are enabling only TLS 1.2 protocol on all windows servers to enforce high security standards.

We are aware on the fixes that has to be applied on SQL server and windows,However, Few cases arised and not sure how this can be addressed.so please help on this matter to understand more on client and server communication.

1)On client machine(application server) SSL 2.0,3.0 and TLS 1.0,1.1,1.2 are enabled(all protocols) and on SQL server only TLS 1.2 is enabled,Here which protocol is opted for communication ?

2) this is reverse situation of case1,On client machine(application server) only TLS 1.2 is enabled and on SQL server SSL 2.0,3.0 and TLS 1.0,1.1,1.2 are enabled(all protocols),ere which protocol is opted for communication ?
