I have created a custom build extension and can successfully upload and install into a collection it locally; however, when I select 'Manage extensions' the extension is not visible. I have tried numerous settings in the vss-extension.json but can't determine how to make my extension appear.



The extension does show properly in the gallery (http://my-on-prem-installation:portNum/tfs/_gallery/manage) and the overview page looks OK.

What do I need to check to make the extension visible in the 'Manage extensions' page @ http://my-on-prem-installation:portNum/tfs/MyCollection/_admin/_apps/hub/ms.vss-extmgmt-web.manageExtensions-collection?tab=Manage&status=Active

After you upload your extension into your TFS, you need to install it to the collection.

In http://my-on-prem-installation:portNum/tfs/_gallery/manage this page, hover your mouse on the custom build extension, you will see install button, click it:

Then you need to choose a collection where you want to install this extension:

If you have done this but still see the extension on the collection extension page, please try to install it to another collection, could this time work fine?
