my web app started returning http 301 errors.  i noticed that www is being added to the url i.e. https://xidekick.azurewebsites.net becomes https://www.xidekick.azurewebsites.net/. there's no configuration change that i'm aware of that would have caused this.  please help.

this turned out to be an application issue and not an issue on the azure side.
