Hi, 

We have been doing HCK tests for hardware for windows 8.1 so far.We have test machine running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and setup various test machines ( by installing HCK client on them as  per : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh998740.aspx .

Now we want to move to Windows 10 and for that we have downloaded HLK for the technical Preview(Build #9926).

Few Questions on that which arises while we were setting it up  :

(1) On installing the HLKSetup.exe on the test server we got the snapshot_1

I already have Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition

System Type : 64-bit Operating System

The HLK installer is the offline installer of size ~2.77 GB , HLKSetup.exe file ~1046 ,

On the previous page on clicking Download Radio Button I do get the Controller+Studio Button un-freezed on the "next" page but not when I click the First Radio Button "Install the Windows Hardware Lab Kit - Windows 10 to this computer" .Is it not possible to do the offline installation?

(2) I cant browse this location \\<ControllerName>\HLKInstall\Client\Setup.cmd and seems like it is due to the missed installation of Controller portion as explained in Point 1 due to No SQL Server 2012.?

(3) Is it possible to use the HCK and the HLK on the same machine?(of-course not at same time) 

Kindly let us know on the above two points for the successful setup of HLK  for the hardware validation for the Windows 10.

Thank you for your interest in HLK, I'm sorry the message you are seeing is not clear enough, but if you do look at the text very closely, it is actually saying "only x64 versions of SQL are now supported".  We ship the x64 SQL Express version with HLK, or you can manually install a full version of x64 SQL.  What you will need to do on any system that previously had HCK installed is completely uninstall all SQL components, then let HLKSetup.exe install the bundled x64 SQL instance.
