Hi,

We have a huge db of a TFS collection and despite of the fact that we have deleted a huge number of unnecessary code from the collection and Destroyed them, the size of the DB wasn't reduced. 

Additionally we are planning to create an empty collection and move the projects needed from one collection (old with unnecessary code) to the new one to minimize the size of the DB and improve overall I/O operation. 

Can you please help me in moving the project ( or few branches within a project) from one collection to another?

There is no direct way to move team projects between collections other than use some 3rd party tools, like OpsHub. But this feature is under planned, you can track this UserVoice.
